Preparation of a 3-year Delivery Plan
Client: Wirral Local Strategic Partnership - October 2003 - July 2004
The Business Plan, which guides the work of the LSP over the next three years, details the key actions, indicators and processes which are necessary for the effective delivery of Wirral’s Community Strategy and Local Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy. Preparing this Business Plan involved working closely with the LSP’s partners and its eight thematic groups by undertaking participant observation in meetings and facilitating workshops and partnership working. We also produced a Performance Management Framework for each thematic group which involved developing their actions, targets and indicators to ensure they are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reliable and Timebound). We also identified gaps and agreed which partners are responsible for delivering each objective and associated target in the Community Strategy. Following the completion of the Business Plan we ran a number of training workshops with LSP members and partners (e.g. the Community Empowerment Network). They covered issues such as LSP structure, joining up government/governance structures at the area level, methods of community engagement, and performance management.
