Access to Employment Strategy
Client: London Borough of Tower Hamlets - June 1999 - January 2000
This project involved developing a strategy to reduce the incidence of long-term unemployment and enable employees to progress from low paid entry jobs to higher-level roles. The strategy proposed a new way of working on the ‘Access to Employment’ theme across the borough, and provided a framework within which the local authority could most appropriately allocate its resources. It was developed through close working with the local community and voluntary sector organisations, as well as statutory agencies.
