REGEN 2000- housing
Client: REGEN 2000- August 2007 - April 2008
CLES Consulting and Equal Access Consulting were commissioned by Regen 2000 to undertake the final evaluation of their private sector housing renewal projects of the SRB6 programme in Bradford. The projects, which sat within the programmes ‘Housing & Environment’ theme, aimed to contribute directly to the regeneration of the private sector housing stock with the Regen 2000 area by addressing issues which improved the external appearance of homes on strategic gateways and also offered home improvements that improve quality of life for those most in need.
The evaluation provided an overview of the programmes activities; evaluated the programmes success in meeting its strategic objectives and delivery plan targets; benchmarked progress against baseline positions at the start of the programme identified through the bid document, Census data and social audit; evaluated the wider impact of the SRB6 scheme, including qualitative outcomes and contribution to the Regional Economic Strategy; identified expertise and good practice achieved by the programme; assessed the sustainability of projects and the programme as a whole; identified key lessons to be learnt from the SRB6 experience and made recommendations for the future of the programme alongside consultants/directors charged to lead the Regen 2000 Forward Strategy.
