This two day course provides a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of local economic development.
On day 1 the course will explore local economic development theory and identify contemporary challenges, this will be used in day 2 to shape practical solutions.
Day 1
places specific emphasis upon providing a historical and theoretical context to local economic development and encourages delegates to relate this back to their own areas.Day 2 provides a comprehensive yet succinct overview of current policy in economic development and regeneration and explores how economic policy is delivered in the UK.
The course is at the cutting edge of latest thinking and policy and is designed both to update your exisiting skills and knowledge and to begin developing it for the first time.Course fee
£400 plus VAT; £210 plus VAT charity, voluntary sector
Course fees include detailed reference materials, refreshments and buffet lunch.
Time
9.30am registration and refreshments for 10am start. Course ends at 4pm.
