Better Places National Awards 2012

12th April 2012

New Start magazine today launched the first Better Places National Awards in a bid to highlight inspirational and innovative projects across the UK.

The search is now on for schemes that have had a marked impact on their areas, improving quality of life, tackling poverty and inequality, and demonstrating the added value of socially and economically inclusive approaches.

There are four categories to enter: public sector, voluntary and community sector, private sector and social enterprise.

Find out more about the Better Places National Awards and how to nominate a project or enter the awards on the New Start website.

Austin Macauley, editor of New Start, said the magazine was looking for ‘exemplars that everyone should want to aspire to’.
