Forging resilient local economies

For many years CLES has held a two-day Summer School, which has become a well-established event on the regeneration/economic development calendar. The event is being re-launched this year as the CLES Summit 2009 – a new brand to better reflect the content, format and audience of this annual event. The CLES Summit 2009 Forging resilient local economies will focus on the new approaches required to deliver economic development and regeneration in changing economic times. The event will provide opportunity for debate and deliberation as well as learning and networking.

Venue and dates

The Summit 2009 will be held on 14th and 15th July at the Renold Building, University of Manchester, which is conveniently situated close to rail and bus stations in the centre of Manchester.

Who should attend?

The event attracts a diverse national audience representing key sectors involved and interested in regeneration, including delegates from local government, local communities, government departments, the private sector and third sector organisations.
